Villiputtoor Alwar took his sole responsibility of translating Bharatham's ideas and narrating them in his book called Villi Bharatham. Later Sri Desa. Mangayarkkarasi got his permission to be translated into Tamil.

Bharatham did his changes in certain places of the book by village conventions. After this, Villi Bharatham was published as Pattaripiran's Adhyatmika Bharatham in 1857 and as Pattaripiran's Adhyatma Bharatham in 1861.
Villiputtoor Alwar or Pattaripiran had a dream to launch a series of Bharatham books, so, Alwar collected all the stories presented in Bharatham Adhyatmika and published it as Bharatham in 1941. This is the first edition of Bharatham in Tamil.
